AutoFon Protocol (Port 5077) Tracking & Installation Guide
The AutoFon protocol is a specialized low-traffic communication standard used by high-security beacons like StarLine M-series and AutoFon SE. It is designed to minimize data usage while providing maximum stealth against signal scanners.
1. Device Comparison Table
| Model | Protocol Port | Wiring Support | Primary Use Case |
|---|---|---|---|
| AutoFon SE+ | 5077 | External (12V) | Cargo & Fleet Asset Recovery |
| StarLine M17 | 5077 | Full (12/24V) | Real-time Vehicle & Truck Tracking |
| StarLine M11/M16 | 5077 | Limited | Autonomous theft recovery beacon |
2. Engine Immobilization (Relay Wiring Diagram)
The StarLine M17 and AutoFon SE+ feature a negative output (Blue Wire) to trigger an engine cut-off. Note: Always use a 4 or 5-pin automotive relay.
Relay Pinout for StarLine M17:
- PIN 85: Connect to the BLUE WIRE (Negative Output from Tracker).
- PIN 86: Connect to +12V/24V Constant (Positive).
- PIN 30 & 87a: Break the vehicle’s Fuel Pump or Starter wire and connect these pins to the two ends.
WARNING: Only immobilize the vehicle when stationary. Blocking a moving vehicle can cause accidents.
3. Essential SMS Commands
Send these commands via SMS to the device SIM number. Default password: 1234.
| Function | Command | Expected Result |
|---|---|---|
| Engine Block | 1234 EXT ON | Relay triggers; vehicle cannot start. |
| Engine Unblock | 1234 EXT OFF | Relay releases; vehicle starts normally. |
| Interval Setup | 1234 SETUP 0220600000 | Wakes up every 24h; reports every 60 sec if moved. |
| Check Status | 1234 ? | Device returns battery, temp, and GPS status. |
