STL060 Protocol Guide: SMS Commands & Wiring Diagram

STL060 Protocol: The Ultimate Technical Manual

Configuration, Wiring, and Server Integration for Port 5060

STL060

1. Introduction to STL060

The STL060 protocol is a high-efficiency communication standard used by modern GPS hardware. Operating primarily on Port 5060, it balances low data consumption with robust features like remote engine cut-off and ACC ignition detection.

2. Mandatory SMS Configuration

Send these commands to the tracker’s SIM card to initialize communication. (Default password: 123456)

3. Hardware Installation & Wiring

Power & Ignition Pinout

  • Red Wire: Constant Positive (+12V/24V)
  • Black Wire: Ground (Negative/Chassis)
  • White/Orange Wire: Ignition (ACC) – Triggers “Engine On” status.
  • Yellow Wire: Relay Control – Connect to Pin 85 of the relay.

4. 5-Pin Relay Integration (Engine Cut-off)

To enable remote engine stopping, wire the relay as follows:

  • Pin 85: Connect to Tracker Yellow Wire.
  • Pin 86: Connect to Ignition +12V.
  • Pin 30: Connect to “Battery Side” of cut fuel wire.
  • Pin 87a: Connect to “Pump Side” of cut fuel wire (Normally Closed).

5. GPS Server Integration

Server Configuration:

1. Log into your tracking platform.
2. Register the device using the 15-digit IMEI found on the sticker.
3. Ensure your server firewall allows traffic on Port 5060 (TCP/UDP).

6. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

Issue: Device is “Offline” on server.
  • Verify SIM card balance and that the PIN lock is removed.
  • Check the APN setting. Send check123456 and ensure “GPRS” says “Link Up”.
  • Verify the server IP address and port (5060) are correct.
Issue: No GPS signal (0.000, 0.000).
  • Ensure the device has a clear view of the sky. Metallic tints on windows can block signal.
  • Check if the Blue LED is solid. If flashing fast, it is still searching for satellites.
